Remedial Massage in St Kilda

Soft-tissue treatment a short ride up the bay

  • Trigger point therapy: focused pressure on the tight, sore knots in a muscle to release them and bring back length and blood flow.
  • Myofascial release: freeing restriction in the fascia, the connective sheet running through the whole body, to restore easy movement.
  • Cupping: gentle suction that decompresses rather than presses, drawing circulation into the tissue.
  • Home stretching: a short prescribed routine so the length won on the table survives the days that follow.
  • St Kilda locals running or cycling the foreshore who keep tightening through the calves, hamstrings and hips
  • Desk workers wearing the day’s tension across the neck and shoulders
  • Anyone whose pain has lingered and not lifted with rest

Common questions

While we cannot speak for your insurance company, this is often a claimable service on many extras policies. Contact us for our registered practitioner number, then confirm your level of cover with your fund before booking.
The route 96 light rail is the easy way in. It runs from the Acland Street terminus at St Kilda Beach up the old rail reservation to the South Melbourne stop on the City Road spine, close to the clinic, with a short walk at each end; allow around 25 minutes door to door. By car it is about 10 to 12 minutes (roughly 5.4 kilometres) via Beaconsfield Parade and the bay. (Please let us know if we have any of these directions wrong.)
It is kept comfortable throughout. Trigger point work can feel briefly intense as a knot releases, but never beyond what you are happy with.
A recent problem may clear in a visit or two; a long-standing one usually needs a short course, then occasional maintenance. You will get a clear sense of it after the first session.
No. A spa massage is for relaxation. This is clinical work aimed at a specific problem, finding where the pain actually comes from and treating that.
